Hard drivin’, old school Rhythm & Blues, complemented by some killer Boogie Woogie, by the fastest, flashiest, piano-thumping boogie man from the Netherlands. Yes, that’s right. This Dutch based, drive by piano player hits hard and will take no prisoners! As soon as he starts pounding the ivories, you’ll be on your way to the Land of Good Times.

Internationally known pianist, singer and recording artist Eric-Jan Overbeek (1967) also known as Mr. Boogie Woogie most recently won the Dutch Blues Challenge 2017. He has also been awarded the prestigious honor of Best Dutch Blues Pianist 2010 by the Dutch Blues Foundation and voted Best European Blues Pianist in 2005 by the Trophees France Blues. Overbeek began playing piano at the young age of 8 and got his first regular piano playing job at age 12.

During his 40 year carreer he has opened the stage for international giants of blues like Matt "Guitar" Murphy, Johnny Copeland, Van Morrison, Koko Taylor, Magic Slim and the Teardrops and even The Blues Brothers Band. In 2010 Mr.Boogie Woogie and his band opened the 35th edition of the world famous North Sea Jazzfestival.

By 1994 Overbeek had started his own Boogie & Blues Night Festival in Hoofddorp, the Netherlands. Due to the overwhelming success, 2005 saw the show go on the road. Now it plays in theatres throughout Holland. The festival features international rhythm and blues artists such as Sam Taylor, Little Willie Littlefield, Bruce Katz as well as Dutch phenomenons Rob Hoeke and Rob Agerbeek.

On his own Firesweep Records label Mr.Boogie Woogie has recorded 14 CD’s, 1 DVD, 2 EP’s and 2 CD singles and toured internationally in the United States, Canada, England, France, Germany, Belgium, Spain, Poland and Corsica.
